| Oslo, Stockholm, Malmö, Copenhagen | 14-17 December 2016 |
After Owlle (2013), Christine & The Queens (2014) and La Femme (2015), it’s Broken Back’s turn to perform at the 4th edition of the French Nordic Tour, a project created by bureauexport and Institut Français in 2013.
Supported by bureauexport and Institut Français of Paris, Stockholm, Oslo, and Copenhagen, Broken Back will play in 3 countries from December 14th-17th. The tour is presented by the Swedish promoter Monstera.
Historically, French popular music artists have struggled to break into the Nordic countries. With an already rich Scandinavian music scene, little space is left for incoming acts and the region thus remains rather unknown or misunderstood by French industry professionals. It is for these reasons that bureauexport and Institut Français developed this project in 2013, introducing the Nordic public and professionals to the diversity and quality of the French music scene.
Each year, the French Nordic Tour introduces one made in France artist to the Scandinavian music scene by performing in select alternative music venues throughout the region. Local event partners invite Scandinavian professionals (labels, distributors, publishers, tour producers, bookers, promoters, tech companies) and local media to each concert, maximising the artist’s impact.
This year’s edition is the perfect timing for Broken Back, who just released his debut album November 18th.
