FOCUS Wales teams up with Le Bureau Export to bring Made In France acts to the festival in 2018

Following a successful first test run which saw 3 Made In France artists come to Wrexham for FOCUS Wales in 2017 (Dizzy Brains, Colt Silvers, Fauna Twin), the festival is pleased to announce that they will collaborate with Le Bureau Export, the French music export office, in order to bring more export-ready Made In France acts to the event in 2018.

The organizations will work together on selecting the best emerging acts coming out of France, as well as bringing top speakers from the French music industry to take part in the panels, and encourage French delegates to make the trip to Wales to discover the event. le bureau export will also host a mixer at the Welsh event to encourage networking and business opportunities between the delegates.

FOCUS Wales is the annual showcase festival for the Welsh music industry, and takes place in Wrexham each May, placing the industry spotlight firmly on the talent that Wales has to offer the world. 2018 marks the festival’s 8th edition, and will welcome over 8,000 festival goers, with over 200+ bands from around the world performing across 20 stages.

The event fills out a variety of spaces and venues, hosting a full schedule of industry discussions and networking events, with speakers from across the globe. Previous FOCUS Wales performers include: British Sea Power | The Joy Formidable | Slaves | Bo Ningen | Catfish & The Bottlemen | Los Campesinos! | among many others.

Described as a “truly special event” by the BBC, “one of the world’s leading showcase events” (Drowned In Sound), and with a “thrilling selection of bands” (Louder Than War), next year’s edition is planned to take place from the 10th to the 12th May 2018.
