| London, United Kingdom | 31 March / 2 April 2017 |

For its 5th edition, the All About Piano! festival returns to the Institut français du Royaume-Uni, in London 31 March – 2 April. Over 3 days, the festival will offer a rich and varied international programme, inviting Londoners to attend concerts, masterclasses, ciné concerts, conferences, free piano lessons, kids’ activities and an art exhibition.

This year’s artists include: Cédric Pescia, François Chaplin, Guillaume Bellom, Ismaël Margain, Tristan Pfaff, and Yaron Herman.

Laurent Perez del Mar, composer of the film ‘The Red Turtle’ (Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in the category ‘Un certain regard’ and nominated for an Oscar in 2017 in the category ‘Best Animated Film’) will offer a special pre-screening conference, during which he will reveal the secrets of his artistic approach through piano transcriptions of the movie’s main musical themes.

Created in 2013 by the Institut français du Royaume-Uni and bureauexport in Londres, the festival All About Piano! celebrates piano in all its forms. The goal of this event is to invite French artists who are relatively unknown in the United Kingdom in order to give them a maximum visibility vis-à-vis the British public, media, and music industry professionals.
